Count on Murrieta, CA dentist for prompt care of dental emergencies.

“Maintenance” services, notably routine exams and professional cleanings, help you to avoid many of the common problems that lead to the need for emergency dentistry. However, at Scola Family Dentistry, we also understand that accidents happen. Life happens. You can be presented with new challenges to your oral care that are brought on by new medical conditions or even the medications used to treat them. An accident on the field, court, or bike trail can also result in the need for care to resolve dental emergencies in Murrieta, CA.

Peace of Mind Dentistry

Dr. Valerie Scola takes pride in being able to accommodate patients most days of the week, as well as some early mornings and evening hours. She also encourages you to contact us whenever problems arise, as we know that emergencies don’t just happen during “business hours.” Depending on the nature of your needs, we can advise on steps to take to ease the pain or swelling that may be present. We can also provide suggestions on how to store or preserve a broken or knocked-out tooth in the interim before you can see Dr. Scola in the office.
Since there are so many different dental conditions that may also be dental emergencies or result in the need for urgent care, we can only speak generally to these services here. During your time of need, we will listen to your specific concerns and circumstances to assure you are in the best possible position to save a natural tooth. We take a conservative approach. For example, tooth extraction should always be a last resort. No tooth looks, feels, and functions as well as a natural tooth. Every effort will be made to preserve what nature intended.
If, however, a tooth is so badly decayed, infected, or otherwise damaged that it cannot be resolved with treatments such as root canal therapy, then we look at extraction followed as quickly as possible by tooth replacement methods. Oral infections can, after all, spread to other parts of the face and body. These are scary complications to avoid.
We encourage you not to make decisions “in the moment” that can have long-term consequences for your health, appearance, well-being, and your budget. Generally, our conservative approaches and calming demeanor result in optimal treatments that support sustained functionality.

We'll give you a reason to smile!
